Gifted Services
The state of Ohio defines a gifted student as one who “performs or shows potential for performing at remarkably high levels of accomplishment when compared to others of their age, experience, or environment.”
In accordance with Ohio Revised Code 3324:
All students in grades 2 and 5 are testing for possible giftedness in superior cognitive abilities and creative thinking
Students in grades 2-10 are tested three times per year for giftedness in math and reading through MAP growth testing
Students K-12 may be referred for testing by a teacher or parent. Referral deadlines: Fall, September 30 and Spring, March 1.
