Since 2001, local members of Altrusa International, a volunteer service organization, have
helped make prom dreams come true for nearly 3000 girls by providing them with a free prom dress. This year’s Princess Night Project will be held from Noon – 5 pm on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at the Jean Hower Taber Student Union, The University of Akron, 303 Carroll St., Akron, Ohio 44325. Free parking will be in Schrank Hall parking deck ONLY. All other lots are subject to ticketing.
No recommendation, pre-registration, or qualification is needed. Any girl who attends can
choose from nearly 2000 gowns hanging by size on the many racks. Altrusa asks only for the name of the girl’s school and how she heard about Princess Night Project.
Once checked in, the girls select a gown with the help of aides to direct them to the proper
sizes. The aides act as “personal shoppers,” helping make selections from the dresses. The event also offers a large selection of dressy shoes, purses, and jewelry.
All students in grades PK - 12th can sign up for a free tree! The deadline is March 15th.

This week is our annual Akron Children's Fundraiser for Middle School and High School students. Pledge Hearts will be sold all week during lunch/advisory for $1. Friday we will have a hat day and our annual Penny Stall. Students can bring in pennies to stall their teachers! All proceeds go directly to Akron Children's Hospital.

STATE BOUND WARRIOR ALERT! Today the high school cheer competition teams begin their weekend STATE cheer competition. Good luck to our lady warriors as they take the mat today and tomorrow!
Last weekend 9 Carrollton FFA members attended the National Farm Machinery Show in Louisville, Kentucky. Students had the opportunity to look at the newest equipment and technology available in the ag. industry and a chance to talk to industry professionals. We would like to thank Hamilton Insurance for their recent donation, which covered the transportation costs, and the George Family for chaperoning.

This year marks the 8th consecutive state appearance for the CHS Girls Bowling team. That is the 2nd longest consecutive appearance in D2 Girls Bowling State History
